Understanding the Heat Score: How We Rank Leads
Not all leads are equal. The Heat Score is our proprietary 0 to 100 ranking that tells you how active and engaged a business is — before you make contact. Here is how it is calculated.
- Review Recency (35%): How recently was the last review left? Active businesses get reviewed more often.
- Review Velocity (30%): How quickly do reviews accumulate on average?
- Review Volume (20%): Total number of reviews. More reviews generally means an established business.
- Rating (15%): A consistently high rating suggests a business people want to keep coming back to.
A score above 80 is Hot — these businesses are busy and actively engaging customers. A score below 40 is Cold — still worth contacting, but expect less activity.
